This song is very upbeat and lively, and shows teenage culture. The concept of the video is for people just to enjoy themselves and DANCE!
The fun beat and dancing conotations, show the feeling of teenagers at the moment, and that alot of teenagers are looking for a good time, and just to dance, and not to rebel or get into trouble which hasd been focused on in music from other genre's and subcultures.
E.g. Rap, which connotes violence, and often gives alot of messages through the music.
The genre of the music is very disco and "New Rave" with the bright colours and logo t-shirts.
T-shirts with logos fit in with the new sub culture of "New Rave" which has Dance beats and glow sticks and the music just signifies fun.
We want to bring the dancey fun beat through in our own work, and appeal to the new music cultures like "New Rave" and Dance, and Disco.
In our music video we also want to give a message but through having fun, and standing up for yourself and dancing, rather than violence or swearing.
