The video for Rhythm Bandits!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=nwSbtJjc6Xg

We found a video for the song we are doing! We thought we were dead original, and now we have found they have a video after about 2 months of planning.
We are sticking with our original idea, and have taken the concept of some special effects, such as dancing in front of a blue screen, and bright colours, and dancing into our music video.
We are trying to make it as different from the original video, and have given our video a storyline as you can see from our storyboard, and pitch.

Music Video Pitch

Song
Rhythm Bandits by Junior Senior

Overall Concept
The lyrics will reflect just generally allowing people to enjoy themselves and have a good time and dance to the ‘beat’ without feeling embarrassed, shy or judged by others. It will represent the present era and everyday life where people are independent.

Narrative
The video will show typical people in everyday jobs and life just doing the normal things but whilst they are doing this the ‘rhythm bandits’ are getting ready to give society ‘the beat’ and the confidence to dance and enjoy themselves and have a good time. Then the bandits will running round the streets and work place in everyday situations giving society ‘the beat’ back so they all start to enjoy themselves and dance.

Performances

1/2 Bandits.
2 People in the band Lip syncing(Junior Senior).
20+ people at disco.
¾ People cooking.
¾ people in the school.
3/4 people dancing in front of blue screen.

Mise en scene
Costumes: Bandit costumes, Junior and Senior will be wearing the same colour jeans and checked shirt. Chef whites for cooks, Normal everyday clothes for people at the school.

Lighting: lighting will be bright, colourful and sunny to reflect the music of the band. Normal everyday lighting will be used apart from at the disco/gig where disco/ strobe lights will be used.

Editing: editing will be very fast and jumpy to go with the lively beat of the music on the beat, for example the numbers and words will flash up on the beat of the music.

Special effects: Blue screen effects will be used to get the ‘Rhythm’ shots (music notes) across when people are dancing to the beat.

Sound: lip syncing will be used through out the song as the band sings and people of the public join in to show that everyone enjoys the music and dancing.

Bodyrox- Yeah Yeah

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6xj_vmCQI

This song makes a big statement, it is a strong video for a girl, standing up to a boy.
The lyrics
"You think you got it all worked out, but you don't know nothing nothing NOTHING"
The lyrics, seem to empower the woman in the video, and she gives strong postures, and strong singing voice.
Also the strong beat also gives an image of self strength, and worth.
There's mechanical voices, fast-paced rapping, atmospheric production and a catchy chorus.
Even when the couples ar ekissing in the video the girls seem to be in charge of the men, controlling the kisses.

At the end to reinforce her strong womanly personna, she burns the equipment and pours over gas to itgnite them Showing her carefree, but also fun nature aswell..

Genres of music

Indie
In the context of popular music, the term indie (from "independent") is often used to refer to a number of genres, scenes, subcultures and stylistic and cultural attributes, characterised by (real or perceived) independence from commercial pop music and mainstream culture and an autonomous, do-it-yourself (DIY) approach.

Pop
Pop music, often called simply pop, is a common type of popular music (distinguished from classical or art music and from folk music). The term does not refer specifically to a single genre or sound, and its meaning is different depending on the time and place. Pop song lyrics are often emotional, relating to love or dancing.
Pop music may include elements of rock, hip hop, reggae, dance, R&B, jazz, electronic, and sometimes folk music.

Rock
Rock music is a form of popular music with a prominent vocal melody accompanied by guitar, drums, and bass. Many styles of rock music also use keyboard instruments such as organ, piano, or synthesizers. Rock music usually has a strong back beat, and often revolves around guitar, either electric or acoustic.
