Bodyrox- Yeah Yeah

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag6xj_vmCQI

This song makes a big statement, it is a strong video for a girl, standing up to a boy.
The lyrics
"You think you got it all worked out, but you don't know nothing nothing NOTHING"
The lyrics, seem to empower the woman in the video, and she gives strong postures, and strong singing voice.
Also the strong beat also gives an image of self strength, and worth.
There's mechanical voices, fast-paced rapping, atmospheric production and a catchy chorus.
Even when the couples ar ekissing in the video the girls seem to be in charge of the men, controlling the kisses.

At the end to reinforce her strong womanly personna, she burns the equipment and pours over gas to itgnite them Showing her carefree, but also fun nature aswell..

Genres of music

Indie
In the context of popular music, the term indie (from "independent") is often used to refer to a number of genres, scenes, subcultures and stylistic and cultural attributes, characterised by (real or perceived) independence from commercial pop music and mainstream culture and an autonomous, do-it-yourself (DIY) approach.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indie_music

Pop
Pop music, often called simply pop, is a common type of popular music (distinguished from classical or art music and from folk music). The term does not refer specifically to a single genre or sound, and its meaning is different depending on the time and place. Pop song lyrics are often emotional, relating to love or dancing.
Pop music may include elements of rock, hip hop, reggae, dance, R&B, jazz, electronic, and sometimes folk music.

Rock
Rock music is a form of popular music with a prominent vocal melody accompanied by guitar, drums, and bass. Many styles of rock music also use keyboard instruments such as organ, piano, or synthesizers. Rock music usually has a strong back beat, and often revolves around guitar, either electric or acoustic.

This Aint A Scene, Its An Arms Race - Fall Out Boy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FcBnaLjxY4

This song is about a lot of things, both a response from fans and the look on the scence of music. First we see the band finishing one of thier songs and they stop and walk through the crowd. The "fans" are all made of cardboard. This is their statment on how all their fans said they sold out with their last album, the fans were in fact fake.

Then they move to a magazine cover which says that they are breaking into the hip-hop genre. This is a message that is displaying how hard it is for bands to be classified and how they are forced into other genres when there are too many other bands like them, hence the line about the bandwagon being full.

Then they are in the recording studio and the people around them are making fun of them, this is about the ridicule from other bands and producers. When the band starts dancing, they end up breaking something which I think says how the band is too wild for the genre.

Then you see a member of the band ready for his photshoot. Another publicity act made by many artists. The photographer has plenty of good cameras there, but instead he chooses a phone. As he asks the person to pose differently, he finally has him take down his pants which the person is hesitant about, but does it anyway. First off, the photographer picking the phone is representing how fans would rather see crappy pictures taken of embarrising things that a person might do than real pictures that the artists try to sell. The whole pants thing is another publicty stunt.

All of the partying scenes are again just about things that people will do to get noticed (stuff a sock down thier pants, get pets, etc.). When one of the band memebers gets flipped out the window, you'll notice the flash of a camera which is a statement on how obsessed the press is with getting the latest story.

Then we flash to a funeral were we see a band member preaching about how hard everyone tries to make themselves seen. We also see some people who resemble the following bands and celebrities: Panic at the Disco and Britney Spears. They are all dancing and trying to make themselves clear to the crowd.

Finally the person pops out of the coffin and it flashes the the band that looks to be early in their carreer. One asks "dreams again" and that signifies that the the life bands lead can be nightmares, and the video ends with the band prefoming in a small auditorium.

Mr Brightside - The Killers

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnwLf88t_Wc

The key in this song is its title. By calling himself Mr Brightside, the speaker is commenting on how he is incurably optimistic - he always looks at the bright side of any given situation.

The song is about a man getting overly involved emotionally with women he has only just met, and suffering heartbreak when his love proves to be not returned. His "destiny" is to continually experience such heartbreak because he always opens up his "eager eyes" to the next possible paramour.

The first stanza:

Coming out of my cage

And I've been doing just fine

Gotta gotta be down

Because I want it all

Here, he is freeing himself from the emotional restraint that was protecting him from having his heart broken and allowing himself to become interested in a girl. The "all" that he wants refers to true love, the kind that you can only get if you are willing to give the entirety of yourself to someone else.

It started out with a kiss

How did it end up like this

It was only a kiss

It was only a kiss

Here, he's wondering how he's gotten to the point that he cares so deeply about her after just one kiss - the answer is because he allowed himself to invest that kiss with meaning that for her was not there.

The next couple stanzas basically tell the story of him seeing this girl that kissed him once hanging out with other guys - and because he feels so strongly for her, he becomes deeply jealous/angry. It's sort of like a situation where two people made out on a dance floor one night, and the girl felt like she was just having fun whereas the guy thought there was actually a connection.

Where we get the best crystallization of Mr Brightside's true nature and motivation is in the following stanza:

But it's just the price I pay

Destiny is calling me

Open up my eager eyes

'Cause I'm Mr Brightside

Here, we should be getting that the "price" he pays is the intense feelings of jealousy, rage, and heartbreak that come from him getting too attached too fast. He asserts that it is out of his hands, that this pattern of behavior is simply part of his core personality by referring to it as his "destiny." His eyes are "eager" for the next girl that he will fall for, which is sure to happen because he is the perpetually optimistic "Mr Brightside" - always looking for and ready for love.

This song can also be interperted as he killed some one who his girlfriend had cheated on him with or even he killed his girlfriend too, this my be because he was in love with her but she just wanted some fun but always came back to him when she wanted to be loved and he didnt no what to do but except it (Mr Brightside)
